Education in the New Normal
In conjunction with the #InternationalDayofEducation 2021, we hosted our 1st MY x Change dialogue session for the new year!
For the past one year, children around the world had their learning and social connections disrupted due to school closures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now as schools reopen in Malaysia, we dive straight into asking the question: “Online Learning-Does It Connect Or Disconnect Us?”
Joining us for Episode 3 to discuss on this topic was the charismatic Kiran Bir Sethi. Kiran is the founder of Design for Change & Riverside School. The session was hosted by our lovely group of student leaders: Humayraa, Husna & Fathihah. In this session, Kiran highlights the importance of “learning with heart” as we prepare to go back to “normal” school.
About MY x Change
MY x Change (Malaysian Youth x Change) is a monthly dialogue series led by children and youth, for ALL, on topics and issues young people FEEL deeply about.
The series is developed using the Design For Change FIDS (Feel, Imagine, Do, Share) framework. This interactive dialogue series aims to empower children and youth to publicly speak to adults and peers about what matters to them in a safe online space. Each monthly series showcases 2 to 3 interviews of 10 minute bit-sized conversations that are filled with valuable insights and information beneficial for any audience watching.
